Springfield Engineering has a unique pedigree which has always been able to adjust itself to market requirements. The founder members Eddie Reed and Allan Pearce (pictured right) utilised their vast engineering backgrounds and applied their skills to suit different customer needs, along with their highly skilled work force, design engineers, machinist, and welders, which supported a large assembly shop boasting a variety of skilled fitters. Previous customers include: off shore companies, BP, Matthew Hall, Hyundai, GEC Avionics, Duco and Seaward Wyon.

Machine builds companies include: Bronx, Stamco, Herr-Voss, Hi-Draw, Parkegate. Others include Allen Gears (Rolls Royce), Strachan & Henshaw (Babcock’s) and many more who they were pleased to have been associated with.

Eddie Reed retired in 2008 with Allan Pearce and Robert Acutt retiring in 2011. Between them they have passed down a vast wealth of knowledge to their successors
